Cerebral Palsy Nepal (registered as Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy, Nepal) is Nepal’s only non-governmental and non-profit organization dedicated to supporting people with cerebral palsy and their families. Since our foundation 27 years ago, we have helped thousands of individuals with cerebral palsy and development delay to overcome many of the barriers they face, and to live happy and fulfilled lives.
Providing expert medical and thereaputic care.
Through an integrated and holistic range of medical and therapeutic services, the Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation Centre offers vital practical and emotional support to children with cerebral palsy and their parents. It gives on average 500 children and parents a year access to the help they need to improve the quality of their lives and build independence.
We give each child a full medical assessment and draw up a treatment plan. Depending on their needs, they could be helped by any of the following specialists:
- Educational psychologist
- Speech therapist
- Occupational therapist
CPRC does not just ‘treat’ the effects of cerebral palsy; it also teaches children the skills they need to live as independently as possible long-term, and parents the skills needed to help their children with this goal.
We provide a shuttle bus service to the centre free of charge. The centre is open 10am-5pm Monday-Friday.
We ask parents for a small contribution to access the CPRC’s services, although we try to support families who cannot afford this.
